What does this mean? wash pattern

Top 2 cylinders have a larger wash pattern than bottom 2 cyl. Not a concern right now. Compression is #1-125 #2-130 #3-125 #4-130.

I know the compression is good, just not sure what wash pattern means.

Thanks

Are you talking about the crosshatch from final honing?

Re: What does this mean? wash pattern

Sorry no pics or otherwise. These are just the remarks on the work order I received from the repair shop. They closed before I could ask them. I thought cylinders that were washed was because of water intrusion. I was curious as to why the top 2 cyl's would have a larger wash pattern than the bottom two. They also said it was not a concern at this time. So I'm assuming it was minor?

Cheers

The compression numbers are excellent, so why worry, unless water intrusion is still an issue?
