I though that was what it was. But why have an I/O forum with the inboard. Why distinguish bewteen the two? Are they not all I/O?

Thanks
Donie

Nope. In basic terms an inboard has a shaft, prop and rudder in the water and a transmission in the boat, an I/O has a leg.

INBOARD - OUTDRIVE, an outboard is a separate motor in and of itself.
