Ok, I gotta admit this wasn't what I was looking for but what do you think....
97 Formula 232....is my need for speed making me crazy?

Should I stick with the original plan and get a much newer 2005-2007 bowrider with a lot less power. But I really enjoy going fast! Is this a money Pitt?

Good point. I wonder what the ideal cruise speed is and what mpg? Also wonder how loud it is, would we be able to hear each other when running 45ish, how the effect of the noise on a tuber? Sure looks like fun! Still thinking it out, but I might schedule a test drive. Need to find a local mechanic to check it out

Have a marine mechanic inspect the motor and drive. 700 HP is allot, hopefully they did not use automotive parts to get these numbers and the set up is safe for marine use. Also verify the hull is rated for that much power. Other than that it looks like a sweet deal on a very fun boat. Good luck.

700 HP = another problem every week that requires endless cash reserves to fix. That's why he is selling it. End of story.

All that's been said is true, but that thing should really kick. I really like it. If I had that kind of cash for a boat I'd certainly consider it. Have you ever had a boat before? That's alot of power for a first time boater, but hey, if that's what you want to do. I would ask why they are selling & see if you get an answer that you believe is true.

+1 with Philster. You will need deep pockets. Ear plugs optional. But a ton of fun.
