What do I have?

I am new to this boat and I am pretty sure this is a 280 but there are a couple of different kinds I just want to make sure. What Kind of oil and is there reverse oil? Is this a good drive? Just a little info would be great The boat is a 1995 Chris Craft 7.4l Volvo Penta.

It's a Volvo DP-?? drive, There is a metal plate rivited to the top of the upper gear box where the steering fork/helmut assembly hooks onto the upper gear box. There should be a model and gear ratio number, and a serial number.
I can't do anything with the SN any more, but the model number will tell you what you have. It's probably a DP-C thru DP-D1 model. Probably a 1.78:1 gear ratio.
