Can't say. No old motor is better than the care it received, Chryslers are almost gone by now, guess why? Parts can (most often) be found but are not available from each and every store.<br /><br />Motors of that time, when nobody did anything to improve idling for hours, are not very happy trolling. They were build to idle for short and then run/cruise for longer periods. Fouling, extended smoke and cutouts can be expected from trolling around at idle.<br /><br />In any case a manual is called for. Good for gettings specs and hints, guidance and troubleshooting. Link is on this page.<br /><br />Before doing much to it get an idea of the price level for a second hand 'known good brand', still in business. May be cheaper (and better) than fixing the Chrysler, should it brake down.
