Ok, been working on this motor for 2 months, and thanks to all of you I was getting real close. I finally did the sync on it and I think it would have been ready to go...but this is where my stupidity got in the way.

Today while it was in the tub I decided to engage the prop and throttle up a bit...well maybe more than a bit and the water wash up over the motor and it died of course and now I have gone from fixing all electric issues, to working on fuel issues for a month and now it will only re-fire inconstantly from time to time...so I guess I am back to an electrical issue.

Any thoughts? Will it dry out overnight? I have blown out the magneto several times today and a bit of moisture comes out less and less every time.

You might try using some aersol moisture remover and spray the mag internally.

Make sure the points are clean and dry. The water may have had some oil in it, which got to the points. Use a strip of business card soaked in alcohol or acetone. Stick it between the points and clean 'em up.
