what did i buy??

i traded my old pontoon boat over the summer for nice fishing boat. problem is i cant seem to find a thing on this boat. the title say <br /> ASI CITATION model #vc230 id #alsht091m83g<br /> it has a 470 mercruiser sterndrive. 170hp. 224 cid. any help would be greatly welcomed. also how can a guy check as to where the boat came from in the first place. thanks

don't know a whole lot but do remember seeing them in northern ohio boat shows and lake erie during the 80's. had an unusual transom configuration....not straight but sculptured.<br /><br />how does it run with only 170 hp? sounds like a 23 should have more power?

john, you are right about the year, it is a 82, i dont exactly know what you mean by a 23? also the transom is sculptured like you said. I also saw a boat at a local lake that looked similar in the transom, ( Imperial) but never seen the boat moved to ask them anything. also is there a title place or something where i can do a search? look forward to hearing from you. thanks

cruzzer,<br />I see you're not getting much response. ;) <br />The 23' johnd is referring to, is probably from your model #vc230, which would leave one to believe your boat is around 23'.<br />I believe someone posted recently that Citation was bought by Bombardier (new owner of OMC) a few years, ago and then sold after only a year or so.Regardless, check out this site they do have Citation models.
