Finalized deal, paid for, but need to wait till next week to pick it up.

Hmmmm, what do you think it is?


Gonna take some getting used to a left hand throttle control.
Gonna make cold start throttle advance tricky when I put the new Merc controls on.

Does anyone have a line on controls, that I can mount to the right side of the center console?
Are some of them are reversible, if so, who knows which ones?
Will be re-powering with a 1984 Merc 75 hp.

I really don't want a top mount.

Nice rig, I don't have a clue what it is. Looks like aluminum hull? Perhaps a refitted starcraft? Looking forward to more pics.

OK, so no one wants to play name that boat. 142 views, and only 2 responses.

So I'll tell you.

Its a 1973 18' Starcraft Mariner Center Console.

3 captains chairs down the middle and a bench seat/livewell in front of the console.

Will look nice sitting next to my 18' SuperSport, and the
16' SuperSport, and next to .......... . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . Jennifer's boat.

Nice boat, I didn't realize starcraft made a CC - that's why I was guessing it was refitted.

Great find. BTW why do they make Right and Left side controls anyway? Just curious. I seem to remember seeing tiller handles on the other (wrong) side on many European versions of common motors, or was I hallucinating? (very likely)

I suspect they need them on some center console boats, and on older boats that have the steering wheel on the port side.
