What could these brackets be for?

The silver brackets were on my 1998 Sylvan 17’ Blue Fish when I bought it from the original owners. They said nothing about a Bimini or any other top. They are on both sides. Any idea what they were for? IMG_2193.jpegIMG_2192.jpeg
