I have a new Hydro-Sport 23 CC and I am getting ready to throw cash at electronics. I am considering either Lowrance or Navman (because of salesman input) Looking for real world expirience with these brands or models. Also if you reccomend another brand.

Lowrance LCX 26C HD
Lowrance LCX 111C HD
Navman 6600 TrackFish

I can only advise about the GPS I have found the newer Lowrance units like the 3500C have a screen that really can be seen in sunlight (a lot cant and its hard to tell till you get them in the sunlight)

In my shopping I found a 5” screen was a nice tradeoff between price and an enough viewing area which is were the discussions start when you split the screen it gets kind of small to do GPS and Sonar

Tommays

I have a navman trackfish.Just put it in this season and I love it. Easy to read and change the the screen while moving. The origonal reason I bought it was price (less than 400$ on ebay). I,ve been able to compare it to other models and I find it easier to use, and as good or better than lowance and garmin.

Jim

I got an Eagle SeaCharter 642CDF iGPS with the NauticPath chip. Bright screen (5"), great resolution (640 X 480), good price (both for $635) - and works well, too. Lots of menus, but got used to it after one day. Has dual frequency transducer with water temp sensor and also comes with a speed wheel that I don't need so I'm trying to use the cable as the DSC connection to the VHF.
