what brand piston rings and connecting rod bearing to use?

Need a set of piston rings and connecting rod bearing, what a good brand and place to purchase these from?

Engine is a Mercruiser 3.0

How about an oil pump?

What does your machinist say.crank and bore must be measured to obtain the correct size.

I have used Sealed Power rings and bearings on stock engines with excellent results, as for an oil pump I stick with Melling. Some people believe in high pressure and some like high volume.

I have built many SBC engines before, but I just built my first marine SBC for a Mercruiser this year. I ended up using a high volume pump because the larger oil pan can hold enough oil to supply the pump without fear of running it dry...
