Trying to replace the top cover bearing cup on the upper drive shaft after replacing the seals. The race has some pits in it. In the manual I only see the parts number for the puller rod? I can’t seem to find any pullers that will fit so I can actually pull the bearing cup out. What did you guys use to pull it out? Can a I simple OTC slide hammer you can’t rent from auto zone work

This is what I use. Need to clamp the top cap in a vise with rags as not to damage the finish

Get a slide hammer with multiple jaws, need to be smaller/modified to fit under the race securely. Shims can be damaged on removal so be prepared to replace one or more

A propane torch should do it if you do not have an oxy/acetelyne rig. It usually does not take much heat to make it happen.
