What are you good at?

I was thinking that I was very well informed about boats, but now that I have been here, at iboats for a while, I still think I am an amateur.<br /><br />I have been doing first aid for over 8 years now and have saved some lives. <br />I am also a very good father to my son.<br /><br />I am NOT trying to boast about anything, just wondering what you think your expertise is?<br />Just being a nice person is a great attribute, so no need to feel unappreciated if you can't think of anything that you excel at.<br /><br />Brother Chris.

I too feel that I have been a good father to my 3 girls and a pretty good husband for 34 years.<br /><br />I don't really excel at any one thing, just a all around good guy I guess.

That is so true. A good fire starter is great to have around. <br />I know quite a few people who can't start a fire with a can of gasoline.

Professionally I've met my share of folks that can start a fire with gas, some even set themselves on fire... and that smells pretty bad.

If it breaks and its made out of metal I can fix it. If it breaks and its made out of wood I can fix it if I can get my axe to fit in the miter box. I raised 2 boys and done a perty good job of it. Sometimes I was too hard on them sometimes I was to easy. Hope that balances out.<br /> I can start a fire anywhere if I have my boy scout match with me ( homade propane flame thrower) Some people in the west call them prickly -pare burners. They are made out of metal so I build them myself.

w/o advertizing... I think i'm pretty good at what I do for a living... been doing it for 16+ years.. almost half my life.. I oughta be good at it I guess.. <br /><br />The job still sneaks up on me and really kicks my butt, every so often....<br /><br />Usta be good at watersports... Competitive kneeboarder.. Pretty good Barefooter.. Lousey Wakeboarder... Now I'm just a dried up has-been with nothing to show for it cept some scars and creaky knees... I could still whoop azz on a kneeboard tho....

I can start a fire, anytime, anywhere, any conditions... without exception. I grew up in rural Idaho and spent a lot of time in the out of doors hunting, fishing, cutting wood.... and fire starting is a handy skill to have.

I am a good snow skier. I used to be on Patrol at a very tough mountain and I can ski just about anything; powder, steeps, bumps, rocks and bushes too <br /><br />I am a good dad. Like heycods, sometimes too tough, and sometimes not tough enough.

Reel Poor I used to be that way (still a fanatic for having my stuff organized) But after years of it I decided to back off , Its cheaper than malox.

I have a knack for restoring old American Motorcycles. Take a lot of pride in my work and have made some decent money from it. Posted a picture of my latest project but it got moved to non boating technical for some reason??? Must of been a slow night for the mods. Not that anything on here is Non boating

I say this quietly because with the way the world is..... explosives and special effects . I won't go into detail but it's legal. <br /><br />I am pretty dam proud of my family and the way things are turning out. <br /><br />Probably the thing I am best with is keeping my word and following through. When I make a statement that I am going to take care of something you can bank on it. I guess that was reinforced by my 20 years in the service. <br /><br />Bob

I'm good at a few things. <br /><br />I'm a great Mom, a good friend to those in need, an excellent cook, an ammatuer painter, an awesome seamstress, I play the piano, I'm a really good boat pilot and navigator, and I can fish with the best of them.
