What are Waxies ? and what are they used for ?

I would like to know what waxies are and for what fish species are they used for ?

gulp has 3 colors ... Natural, Pink, & Chatreuse ... for those who are familiar with this bait ... is there a prefered color ?

And what about Corn ... ??

I presume that those are waxworms.They do really nice with crappies,but they are equally popular with most other pan fish.Corn (sweet canned) does really good with carp.In some states trout is fed corn in hatcheries and there it is good for rainbows,although it is often illegal.A cornball is popular for catfish as well.

In the old days in England, people who made a living from fish or fishing were called 'Fishers" instead of fisherman.

In France for the same reason the word used was "p?cheux" instead of p?cheurs.

Le mot 'P?cheux" est tout simplement un d?riv? ou un surnom du vrai mot qui est 'P?cheur".

Reason for asking beside not knowing what these "animals" are ... LOL is that I plan to buy the Gulp version of waxies and corn. The waxies come in 3 different colors so I asked the "fishers" that use them just what color seemed to work best for them.

I havent had any luck with the Gulp corn. They are kind of large if you ask me. Im going to switch back to my 69 cent can of sweet corn.
