What are the differences between 2002 Honda BF225 and a current model?

I have a line on a low-hours 2002 vintage BF225 motor and I'm wondering what sorts of updates I'd be trading against by saving the bucks on an older model. Is the 2002 vintage also a Vtec with the "clean burn" technology, etc? I know I've read about some O2 sensor problems with the older ones.

Anything else I should know?
