Hello, i have a 19' 1980 angler with a 115 hp same year johnson. ive found several suspect metal contaminants in my w/f seperator. i just bought the boat and would like to replace the tank with something other than metal. does anyone know where i
could find a new/used non metal tank. not that it matters, but i live in central fla. also a reasonably
priced throttle control. ive already checked ebay.
thanks. I just did a lot of research for a permanent plastic gas tank to put in my boat. I found that Tempo and Moeller make the most models and have the lowest price of anything else on the market. Between the two of them, they probably have 90% of the market!

I bought a Moeller tank and I am very happy with it. One nice feature of the Moeller over Tempo is that Moeller tanks are translucent and you can actually see the gas level through the tank if it is not mounted below deck. The Tempo tanks are black so there is no ability to visually see the level. Both tanks are designed to use a remote gas guage as the primary indicator.

Also, a lot of peole complain about a constant gas smell when using plastic tanks under the deck.
