Heinz,<br />I fish that area all the time and if you stay to the north side of the deep water channel you are ok. on the southside there is a huge sandbar and I have watched a lot of very pricey boats being towed off of it. A great place to catch sturgen is about halfway between the stern of the USS Iowa and the next row of boats. There is a hole there about 35 feet deep. I usually launch from suisun harbor and cruise down there. We are very lucky to live where we do. Great fishing and great weather. I take my kids out there all the time and my 6 year old daughter usually catches more fish than I do.
