What am I missing here? total newbie question...

Buddy of mine hit my prop on a rock, I happened to have a friend give me a very nice SS prop for free my question is what am I missing here? its a on a mercruiser I/O and the prop fits on fine, bolts on, it runs great but I feel like im missing a part and do not know the name. You can see on the black prop there is that bearing looking thing that is lacking on the SS prop... what is that piece called? Any help would be great. Thank you

Ayuh,... They're just different hubs...
The 1 on the right is a newer hand pushed in hub, 'n the 1 on the left is an old Pressed in hub...

So im not missing anything? I feel like there should be something there... I mean I took the boat out and ran it after I put the new prop on... gained 5mph at wot @3800. The prop is solid no wobbling or vibrations so I guess its good?

Your about 1000 rpm short at wot.Not good.But first read the stickies at the top of the page and give us as much info as popssible.
