!!!! What about the pulse line. !!!!!!!

Hey guys, thanks for the info now that I know it is possible,like I said this is a 1990 model evinrude 150 the fuel pump that is on it is pulse driven if I do away with that pump and switch it over to a electric pump do I plug the pulse line off and If I plug it off will that effect or hurt anything on this engine.

If you plug off the pulse line it will not affect anything. Why don't you replace the VRO pump with just a pulse type pump used on engines that don't use a VRO pump?

DON'T even think about an electric fuel pump. To much of a fire hazard as this issue has been discussed many times on this forum.

Hey thanks for the info, the reason being is the pump without the Vro still has the price tag of 389.00 for the pump alone over 400.00 with vro

You can rebuiild the gas sisde of a VRO/OMS for way less.

Hey, I checked with my local dealer I was told by them that they was not aware of anyone that offered a rebuild kit for my fuel pump were could I come up with a repair kit I even checked iboats parts they did not offer one

This conversion works great! $50 or $400, a no brainer!!

If you have a good Evinrude dlr have him check service bulletin # 2237. Contains info on rebuild kits for vro's.
