Yeah they have some good intentions but some pretty dumb ideas. Id say the people on that show need some physics lessons.

here is a vid on youtube no middle seat on 10' jon boat."paul on the 4hp merc",I was almost at 17mph on cell phone gps,I realized later,the floor was wet making it heavy,I just fixed a couple of leaks, held up couple years.all the other rivits on bottom of hull held up with that puddy you mix together,sticks to alluminum good.I used goop and puddy over that on only some...each rivvet was put in by hand,1/4 "I'm gona do another run without the floor,I have interchangeable floors,the foam one ,and another with thin plywood,I usually put some thin foam under that, or without the foam.The foam raises it even with the 2 aluminum v rods that I installed.Makes for some 5,3/4 fett of flat deck space,I use the foam floor for comfort on some days,plus I like to go light.I will get a pic on here of the floor with the aluminum v rods I installed.
