west bend @ fabuglas

Hi there, i am new to this and to boating,i need info on a 1960's ( i think )west bend 500.....50hp outboard. Is there any sites that i can find info on. it is difficult to get any info on it.

Next question. I bought it as a package with a Fabuglas boat. On the ownership its says 1956..again can't seem to find much info on this boat either.........please help identify :facepalm:

Think Chrysler ,
Chrysler bought out West bend and included it in its product line in 1965, you really need your exact year and model number.

check out the " chrysleroutboarddude's channel " on youtube, he's most likley got 8 of what you have..

I am 90% sure it's i 1964 year and the model number is 50461......s/n--4306

As for the boat it says 1956 fabuglas on ownership but no model??????????

check out the brochures at fiberglassics.com It is indeed a 64. 50hp @ 4750 rpm,44.7 cu. in.,compression 140 ,plugs J4J (old number)
I think new is J4C, set at .030,points set at .020, Tillotson carb,1/3 of a pint of TCW3 rated outboard oil per gallon.
