So we grounded the prop on a 6hp EVINRUDE and then it jammed in forward drive.couldn't move the lever into neutral or reverse.<br /><br />So we took off the prop and then the bottome unit without knowing waht we were doing. The problem appears to be behingd the final drive shaft from where I presume the reverse forward gears are controlled. However now can't get the final drive shaft out of the lower unit as there is this annoying worm drive type cog that is preventing the extraction of the final drive shaft and the rear of the cogs that it is attached to. How do we get the dammed thing out??<br /><br />Does the shaft come out of the rear cog or is there some other trick involved?
