Has been read high before, like 155/98, they took it manually and it reads 137/87, this is second time has happened, their automatic BP machines are not calibrated enough on a regular basis(per the nurse), so if ever a question, have them do it manually :)

Over the past years I have had false readings from the "automatic" machines. I prefer the manual old fashion way.

I have had mine taken twice during the same office visit. The first time was by the nurse right after I got into the exam room, and the second maybe 20 minutes later by the doc or PA. The second time is always lower (same equipment) because I've been resting in the interim.

Do you smoke? Blood pressure can increase quite dramatically during and after you smoke just one cigarette.

I dunno': sometimes traffic on the drive in will jack my BP up a few points ...
