Cabin fever was hitting us this past weekend so we visited the NYC boat show, it was actually therapeutic relief! Just nice to wander around for 4 hours in a 70* indoor center doing boat stuff, talking boats and planning out the next one:cool: It was especially good to have brought my partner who is very visual in terms of us deciding what direction to buy next (used purchase), We realized a cuddy would be useless for our needs and a Bowrider once again is the way to go. Bad because we both saw utopia and realize how nice things can be if money isn't an issue:blue:

We especially liked the Monteray 224FS Bowrider and the Glastron 225 GT bowrider, both solid bang for the buck boats with space maximized for 22 ft although both are more than we can spend right now (low 40K price tags). The Monteray guy was trying to get me to sit down but even if I could afford it- I was skeptical about a near 23ft boat with a 4.3L being enough power. I was interested in the Sea Ray 205 since they are popular and available pre-owned. It seemed solid and would fit our needs if it has the right equipment.

The nice: Sea Ray Select SLX, Cobalt, and Chris Craft were excessively nice but priced WAY high for my means. Bryant makes a beautiful sport boat with an awesome but ginormous extended swim platform akin to a deck called the sport porch. The Four Winns was the biggest surprise as they had a 74K price tag on a 21ft bowrider!

All in all- it was very positive, last time we went was 2008 when the recession was upon us and it was down right depressing. The construction was very nice on almost everything we sat in down to the fit and finish. Nice to see the manufacturers stepping up the quality, .
