Not much different in many areas.-----Total amount of water available stays the same.-----Demand goes up with every new subdivision.-----Rain / snow water that does fall , does not soak into the ground.-----Drains off every parking lot into the rivers.----Millions of acres of farm land have been tiled and water quickly drains off.

Good logic racerone. I am at 380' deep already. Not lucky. Neighbors on both side are only at 150'. Oh well.

Our quarter mile deep wells fell off in production towards the end of last year. We shut them all down and switched to surface Monday to conserve for now.

Great news from our well driller owner about noises when running.
It is not sucking in air. :) We are hearing the Check Valve chattering a little bit during pump up running. Run it until it gets to be too much noise. (y)

You are running low on submergence of the pump that is why the check is rattling, not a good sign

It is a form of cavitation. How many GPM is the well running at, what is the well diameter? We build pumps that are used in fracking and in the salt caverns for the National oil reserve, the higher the volume the more submergence, it is possible for a pump submerged over 12 feet to cavitate, little whirlpools on the surface is the visual indication if you don't have instrumentation.

Home well at 380' . It only rattles at start of pumping till about 30 psi. Then continues very quietly from 45 to 60 psi.
