WELLCRAFT ** Merc Not shifting correctly

I am having trouble with my throttle control box i believe. It feels almost like there is to much slack going into reverse. It doesnt engage immediatlly. Has anyone installed a New Teleflex Control Box and cables if So was it difficult. or does anyone have any recomendations. thanks

Odds Are,......<br /><br />You have Cable Issues,....... Not the Controller itself.......<br /><br />Cables are Replaced,.... Not Serviced.......

I Kind of thought it was just the cables. But i figured just installing a new control,cables would just improve the overall performance. Has anyone ever used the Teleflex control, If so, how is it compared to stock. <br /><br /><br />18' Wellcraft American<br />Merc 4cyl I/O

sounds like cables for sure, the teleflex cables are great never seen a bad set once they are fitted properly though..!!
