Aric Almirola is taking over Danica's ride for 2018, surprised they chose him over Kenseth, don't get me wrong, I like Aric, he is a nice guy, but in comparing stat's between the two, there is no contest!
Read an article yesterday about the "top shelf" being priced out of the circuit. Owners "can't afford" to pay them the big bucks, plus pay for the travel expenses of their families while loosing sponsorships. It is a shame, but money talks.
Yep. Kenseth is an outstanding driver. Funds are tight. Danica gets paid based on her popularity, and she was much more than Aric. I hate to see these changes based on dollars, but it is real life.
Well Forbes says he had a salary this year of 10.2 Million and total earnings of 11.5 Million! Danica salary this year was 7.2 million with total earnings of 12.2 million and Aric makes 3 million this year at Petty...Ganassi got a heck of a deal, they are only paying Kyle Larson 650K this year, bet that gets upped next year!
I bet Danica will head to the broadcast booth ... or be like Mickey and do the roving/pit reporter gig .. something where she can be seen is where the networks would want her ... maybe NASCAR yoga instructor during delays and pit stops???
When Mikey does the roving pit reporter, I change the channel. But then again, I can count on a couple fingers how many races I saw parts of this year.... Haven't watched any of the playoff. May or may not watch Homestead..... I have 'Dega recorded that I'll watch parts of, heard it was a wreck fest....
yeah, kind of figured it was coming, closed up his race shop/museum in Cambridge a year or two ago. kind of seemed like he was cutting ties to the area in a way. I drive passed what used to be the museum every day, now it is a wine shop

never did see a lot of people there but it never had signage saying stop in and look around. you couldn't tell if it was for visitation or not.
just said it was Kenseth's race something or other.
if it was for the public to visit they did a terrible job promoting it.
