A kid that I met when he was 11 years old, is getting offered 10 of millions of dollars to take over for him, heard on the radio that Denver offered him 45 million for a 3 year deal yesterday and today Texas up the stake by 40 million for a 4 year contract, I watched this kid grow up, he graduated from one of the schools I used to volunteer at and now they are talking 85 million for 4 years! I am friends with his parents and they are so excited now that I had to tell Dad, calm down you are going to blow a gasket!

Go get em' Brock!

Interesting times for Brock for sure. Not sure what he'll do but I'll give my opinion anyway. To me, the Denver offer is actually better because he has a chance to have some success there. Houston, not so much in spite of it being more money overall. Of course, I have no idea how much of the money is guaranteed in either offer which is the key. If the Houston offer is all guaranteed (which I doubt) it looks like that would be he way to go even though the success level is likely to be lower. That's a lot of money and ultimately money is what it's all about.Be interesting to see which way the kid goes. Congrats to your friends which ever way he goes on this.

well thinking outside the box, if he stays in denver and they lose the fans will blame him. it will be very hard for any QB to follow manning even though he was average this year (hey, they still won the SB). and if they do win and go far they will say it was because of the rest of the team (they won it without him the year for the most part). now if he went to houston he has a chance of making his own name, win, lose, or draw

He just signed with the Texans for $72M for 4 years. Sure is a lot for a QB that had 10 TDs and 6 INTs in 10 games but it was really his rookie season. His QBR was around the same as Winston!

Now O'Brien will pick up Hackenburg in the draft although my bet is the Texans can pick him up late in the draft or wait until after when he isn't drafted. Use him as a backup in a few years.

Denver offer was 30mil guaranteed the Houston deal was $37mil guaranteed. He has O'Brien to mentor him, and expectations are not to the moon. I think Houston was nuts ... Brock's numbers were worse than Brian Hoyer's! But if O'Brien can work with him, it might be a very good move.

As for Bruce's comments, it will be very interesting to see if Houston is still interested in Hack. The talent is there, but he developed sloppy footwork after O'Brien left, and he gets flustered when consistently rushed and hit. He can be mobile, but he refused to do it until the last few games of his college career. He is a decent long ball thrower and has good arm strength, but his O-line could' give him enough time for that and he lost his accuracy and touch on his mid-range fame that he had as a freshman under O'Brien.

I guess those are the reasons I think BROCK made a great decision to go to the Texans. Good luck, Brock!
