Here we go... I have looked through tons of archives and read till boats are spinning around my head. There was a little glimmer of other Procraft owners on iboats not so long ago, but they seem to have disappeared. I guess I can start with my experience, as far as owning boats I have had a couple small john boats. Most of my water time comes from working on casino river boats (in the marine crew not a dealer) and working barges on the upper Mississippi, so as far as owning a pleasure craft I'm kinda new to this game. I came to own this boat by my dad giving it to me because he had lost interest and time. There are some issues with it but I am mechanically inclined so there is no problem tackling them on my own, kinda, we live in an apartment and store the boat at a friends place, so any work that I do to it will be in small bites. I hope to get some pics taken this weekend and get some more ideas about where I want to start nibbling on this elephant. Just as a start it is a 1780V F&S and has some softness around the drain in between the back seats. I will be rewiring it somewhat and getting new electronics(economically). To the forum ball breakers, no there is no specific question here just a introduction and a lighthearted warning that I will be going beyond simply lurking around.

Hello and Thanks for reading,

Ben

P.S. I will learn how to do all the cute avatars and signatures soon:D

On the pictures, I plan on doing some work on the boat this weekend and when I am going to be taking some pics then. After that I will have to learn how to post them:rolleyes: When I do that should I leave the tank empty or fill it:facepalm: Hehe Just kidding.

Re: Well Hello there

Welcome...You are from my "neck of the woods".

I grew up on Gun Lake and still have a house in Dorr. I moved to the UP over the past year.

Where do you do most of you boating?

Re: Well Hello there

Hey there RotaryRacer, so far I have been mostly on Allegan Lake, but I've had a couple outings to Gun Lake. Next on my list is Gull Lake. I am having some adjustment issues because running on lakes is a big change from what I'm used to. I'm a river rat at heart growing up on the Mississippi and spending a lot of time on the Illinois. I'm used to clear marked channels not the random sand bars and weed fields. I realize Allegan Lake is actually the Kalamazoo, just on dam steroids and it is just very obstruction full.

Thanks for the welcoming,

Ben
