The admiral decided it was not for her, she does not like hooking it up, does not like towing it and does not like the bedroom access, so I went out and purchased this, hopefully she will be more satisfied with this one! Man the boss in this family is picky!

It looks like the Boss is picky good. LOL

Now you need a little something to tow behind it. Always some trade-offs.

Oh, no worries there, I can tow one of the boats or I can hand the porta bote on the side. We are thinking about visiting the kids and grandkids in N. Carolina this summer and maybe taking in a Nascar race, and I am sure there will be some fishing along the way. What is really nice is the people we purchased from has a place on the lake, that they will be parking their new 5th wheel on and said, that we can come out and bring the motor home and drink whiskey and go fishing! Ye ha!

What? You sold the 5th wheel? Sounds like the people we bought ours from. The wife didn't like it being towed, she thought it was too big. She never towed it, but was a nervous wreck being a passenger and her husband was a nervous wreck listening to his wife bark orders...Lol

My wife hasn't hooked up, which is fine. But she has towed it and has no problems. Sorry for your loss....... Hopefully the new rig will behave itself and bring you guys a bunch of enjoyment.....

We're already making plans to take a 2 day trek to Orange Beach AL in the fall. About our 7th trip down there, first with a trailer,..... See if we can squeek a month in b/4 it starts snowing up here.....

Haven't sold it yet, finally had enough snow melt off to get it out of storage, but yes, I am going to sell it and the tow rig as a package, I hope, I won't need the truck without the 5th wheel, this new rig is really quite nice and for once, we found a rig we don't have to do any work on, it is set up exactly like we want, 4K generator, electric start appliances, everything looks almost new in it and it was from a couple that are about the same age as we are and did all of the maintenance on it as required. New tires, brakes, Transmission, Awning, Fridge, it was a great buy, so I will learn to like it, if it makes the wife happy, then how can I be anything but happy!? Drives nice, plenty of power and sounds good.

What is amazing, is I have not owned a Chevrolet for over 25 years and now I have 2 of them in the last 6 months!

I meant something like this, MT. It could make life a little easier on the road just in case you need to go to town for more whiskey. :D

Sounds like the new rig was gone through really well. Hopefully it will give you miles of relatively trouble free service..... I watch some of those RV shows. Man, what they do with motorhomes these days. Sure looks inviting.... Even a lot of the trailers, including smaller ones, have outside kitchens too. No wonder going full time is so attractive to alot of people.

Our 5th wheel is all set up to tow the boat behind, but she was just not comfortable and I really want to get out and play this summer, after going through what I did with my father last summer, I really need some down time and this summer is going to be that down time, we have been discussing it for the last month and I finally found this one. Never know Wim, I might even make it back to your part of the country!

Congrats MT. By the license plate it looks like it came from Cascade county.

We've been down many camping roads over the years.

First it was tents but they're always wet, especially in the Seattle area.

Then a VW micro bus. I got rid of it when I almost couldn't get it out of a steep spot with a sharp 90 at the bottom.

Next came a pop up Apache camp trailer. You had to disconnect it and set it up in order to get into the ice box. The final straw was when it froze up when elk hunting in December.

After that a class C motorhome. My wife didn't like climbing up over the cab to get to the bed and climbing over each other if needing to get up in the night.

Then a 30 foot bunkhouse trailer that my wife hasn't yet forgiven me for selling. I hated towing it and the slide wouldn't go out or come back in without someone pushing on it. Then there were the mice in the kitchen drawers with the silverware and pots and pans.

I would like a class A but it'll need a slide for my wife to like it.

Meanwhile I have the home built trailer that I camp in and the Lance camper for the back of the pickup. It's easier to hook up a trailer than to put on the camper.

I'm envious of your great looking purchase. I'm sure you'll get many miles of enjoyment from it. :tea:

Yup Ted, these folks were from Great Falls.

Boy do I remember way to many nights in the back of a pickup or in a wet tent!

We started out with a 12 foot trailer, moved to a 15 footer, that I had to do extensive remodeling on, Then a tent trailer! then to a truck and a 9 foot camper, then to the 28 foot 5th wheel and now back to the 22 motorhome, but I think the motorhome is going to do the trick, she can drive as can I and she likes it, so I am really looking forward to getting away this summer for a while!
