Hello once again guys!
My 89 150 is a booger to start after it sits up for a few days. it will fire but go right back dead. Eventually if i keep pecking at it , it will crank, when it does the rpms are low (like it was flooded) and then it builds up to normal operational rpms with the assist of the start lever. If the start lever is raised while trying to crank ,all i get from it is a bump, like it wants to run but never stays running.
I rebuilt the carbs a month or so ago, which solved my idle problems. since then im trying to figure this new problem out, i have changed the fuel filter, rebuilt the electric primer. and changed all the hoses. Compression is good all the way around. After it does start, it will start everytime very easy and runs great, but let it sit a few days and the problem occurs again. Any suggestions on what to look into to solve this problem?
Thanks!

My X-flow 200 is the same way....before I start, I turn key on and push to prime after pumping the bulb, pump the bulb again and start with key pressed in to prime as normal...this seems to work for me.
In your case, you may try starting to crank and then push in on key...
