Weird Cuddy Cabin Key

I just got a 98 Key West 2020WA & would like to make a copy of my cuddy cabin key. It's a 'knob key' of some sort & so far, the Key West dealer doesn't know what I'm talking about when I describe it & TrueValue couldn't find a key blank to match it. Anybody else have a key like this & if so, where can a copy be made? Don't need the copy to be a knob, would actually prefer a standard key that I can put on a chain so I can't lose it as easily. I know it's a matter of time before this knob key gets lost. Hopefully this doesn't have to be complicated (locksmith, replacing core, etc). Thanks!!

the local locksmith is the next guy to look up. his selection of key blanks is likely larger than the truevalue guys...

Does the lock look original to the boat?

Give this a try, call my Local KW dealer (Savannah Watersports) and talk to Lincoln, no one but him EDIT If this was a standard lock on this boat, he will know about it and be able to get you a key. Might even be able to get one that you can put on a keychain...

I would think a "real "locksmith would be able to cut a simular regular key.

Thanks guys! Yes, I'm pretty sure it's original equipment, I looked at another identical boat while shopping & it had the same thing. I'll call the Sav KW dealer 1st & ask for Lincoln, then go see a locksmith if necessary. Thanks again!

Lincoln owns the place and has been selling KW boats for about 15 years... I am sure he will take care of you, Tell him Eric told you to call...
