Does anyone know how much a 2 stroke 25 HP weighs? (roughly)
My Zodiac is rated for a 25 HP, I'm assuming since the boat is 20+ yrs old that rating was for a 2-stroke. I'm thinking about getting an 18 HP Nissan 4 stroke that weighs 114 lbs, but not knowing how much a 2 stroke weighs I'm worried about putting to much weight on my transom. The Transom is in good shape and you would never know the Zodiac was as old as it is. Whoever had it before me must have taken very good care of it. I'm buying a trailer so I won't be removing the motor after its put on.
