Weight of your boat & trailer

Today I took my boat & trailer into the local testing station for it's yearly warrant of fitness test (a thing we do in NZ).

I asked the guy testing the trailer whether he could tell me the combined weight of the boat & trailer. He said he could easily, using that gadget on the floor that they use for testing the brakes (dynomometer...or something). I never knew those things can measure the weight of the vehicle as well as the braking strength...

Anyway...the weight of my rig was 1,300kg = 2,800 pounds aprox. Very handy, but remember that doesn't include the (10%) weight on the towbar...

It's a 19' f/glass cuddy cabin, 115hp Evinrude, full tank of gas ;) as shown below;

Hi 2K, thanks, it's a New Zealand made "Bonito 585" (5.85 metres long = 19'), 1998 model. There are a large number of boat builders and boat brands down here in NZ, Bonito is one of the better known ones.

Nice boat! Seems a bit heavy for a single axle trailer though?

Nice Boat, If you are looking for the actual weight, my calculation shows 3,111 pounds with a 10% tow bar load, are you sure of that or is it estimated? As for the single axel trailer you are good up to 3500 pounds. Looks like my old trailer I had with my cuddy cabin.
