weight of engine

Hello guys.<br />Can one of you please tell me how much a 70EL78,that is a 1978 70 horse longshaft Johnson outboard weighs?Also how is its fuel consumption compared to the sixties engines?<br />Thank you.

rolmops <br /><br />According to NADA, it weighs 235# dry. Fuel consumption is probably not too much different, depending on how well the old motor runs. They claim the rule is 10% of your hp is your fuel GPH consumption. I have found that to be pretty close so far.
