A friend of mine has a boat which he wants towed to the marina and asked me if my truck were available. I don't think my truck is heavy enough or strong enough. I asked how much his boat and trailer weighed but he's unsure.

Anyone know what approximate weight for a 1997 Donzi, 27.5 ', fiberglass, single engine (gas) 7.4L, cuddy cabin.

Thanks!
Kevin

Hey a Vermonter!!!! :D :D :D

nadaguides dot com and look up the value of the used boat. Included on that page is a "dry" weight (w/o fuel and toys) and does not include the trailer. The donzi is listed at 6000 dry plus trailer fuel etc and Bondo is probably right on the money at 8K. :D

Bob

Re: weight of boat

So my friend had his boat put in by someone with an F-250. Story has it the truck was spinning its tires and moving sideways. Driver wasn't sure what was happening. This comes on the heals of his saying "Oh, my truck will move that thing with no problem." Bet he wished he'd had a bigger, heavier, and stronger truck. All I can say is...better him than me.
Thanks for all your answers.
