I was wondering if anyone knows the weight? I have a fshing buddy that thinks his 2004 Nitro 18 footer weighs more. I do not think so. Champions are known for their weight, and it is old on top of that which means it probably is heavier than newer Champions.

That's probably the 184 model. I'm guessing somewhere around 1200-1400 lbs w/o the engine. That Champ was built in the days when they used wooden transoms, wooden stringers and the glass technology wasn't as good making for heavier boats. The Nitro has composites making up the stringer system and transom and bulkheads which are much lighter. Add about 350-400lbs for that old 'Rude. Those things were tanks.

Sorry mistake my buddies boat is a triton still 2004 though. So you think mine is heavier. If so I will win the bet of a dozen minnows. (Who ever loses has to buy the other one a dozen minnows.)

My previous boat was a 1978 Champion single console 16' 8" That weighed in at around 1000-1050 lbs without the motor. I'm guessing my current 1986 Dual console 18' 4" weighs in at around 1250 - 1300 lbs. Add around 350lbs or so for the engine. His Triton is made completely of composites, no wood, so he's much lighter right there.
