Any body know the weight of a 60HP johnson. I need to pull it off to replace my transom and not sure how many of my buddies and beer I am going to need to buy. any tips to take it off would help.
Thanks

Weight is approximately 220 pounds. Disconnect incoming wires, remove four retaining bolts. Have fat beer drinking buddies, one on esch side, one in back. Have one in back bigger than two on sides!

I have a 60hp 1970 Evinrude and I removed & replaced it myself. Not a pleasant experience but since I am new to the area with no friends or relatives to help out I had little choice.
2 People should be good enough! Make sure you have a bench or stand to transfer it to as this will make it easier.
