Hello,

I just bought a 1967 Starcraft Fiberglass 14' boat and plan to use Sienna 2001(which has 2000lb towing capacity) to tow it. I am wondering if anyone knows the weight of the boat and/or the weight of a 15' long Dilly Trailer.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Swag: Boat 400-500 Dilly trailers as I knew them, 300, engine up to 35 hp old style, 200, 6 gal fuel 50, battery 50, gear 200= about 1250#. Bet I'm not far off and a walk in the park for your tow vehicle. Course you have to remember the rule of boating on the highway.....your boat/trailer was not intended to be filled up with everything you needed for a weeks vacation that you couldn't get into your sub compact tow vehicle.

Back then the boats were light weight as that was before the power revolution, didn't need to be; the trailers likewise as all you had was a main beam and winch, axle and tires, a couple of x members, a couple of 3'wooden bunks and 2 or 3ea 6" rubber rollers; engines didn't have all the stuff they have today....

HTH,
Mark
