Hi all, thanks for the invite. I have a 9.9 that seems to run fine but continues to spit fuel mix from this hole. Is there a bad diaphragm or is this normal? Motor is mid 1990s. Thanks!!
No part of the fuel system should ever leak fuel out of the system - this is a major fire hazard, I'm guessing there's a leak in the diaphragm or the gaskets. Just do a rebuild.
Mid 90s its time for all the rubber based parts in the engine to be replaced plus fuel filter and inlet hose and saueeze bulb. I'm, assuming that's the fuel pump and you are probably right on that one.
