I offered to drive my mother to Cleveland this past weekend to watch her grandsons (my nephews) High School Graduation. We drove up on Friday. Sat. morning I went to see a High School buddy of mine. He tells me about an accident from the night before involving an old acquaintance of ours and his two sons. Tim Haas was one of my buddy's son's best friends.
My nephew attended Newbury High School. FF to Sundays graduation at Newbury. When we arrived for the Graduation there were a number of students wearing t-shirts honoring both Tim and Paul. I had heard Tim was dating a girl from Newbury so I figured that was the connection. Then while looking at the program before Commencement I saw the name Paul Haas in the list of Graduates, and though thats a strange coincidence. When they called Paul's name his father, (Bruce) mother, and sister came forward to receive his diploma. They received a standing ovation, and there was not a dry eye in the place. Talk about an emotional roll-a-coaster.
