Got out a little on Saturday and Sunday, with my son. Saturday was a bust, except for a 24" 5-6lb channel cat, caught on a Walleye diver. Sunday was a little better with a number of small (16" and less), smallmouths. One whooping 8" walleye! One 28" what we believe to be a Northern Pike, but we need to check the pictures when developed. Would be our first pike in this Muskie river. To make matters worse, my son caught both the cat and the pike. How was your weekend?

Re: Weekend Fishing Results

Yesterday was slow for me. 1st time out trying to find some walleye. No walleyee, but I did catch about a 2lb catfish (fuzzE grub & worm), which I took a picture of & released.
Lucky for me I dont work today or Tuesday. I think I'm going to go out tommorow & try for something I know will bite....crappies & gills. Winter's coming, have to make sure I have enough freezer fish to make it through :p

Skunk-ed,
All of our fish, outside the cat, came on fuzzy grubs. Nothing on twister tails or jigging spoons. Water was 59 degrees F. Temp will continue to drop, and expect after the next rain, walleyes will start moving in (wintering spots). Next time out, we will certainly have minnows for tipping.

One Chinook Saturday...kind of small (18') but bright. Went hunting for silvers (Coho) on Sunday, but they must not be up here yet.....or I have last year's lures...

We can now fish for sturgeon 4 days a week, but I think I'll let them grow for a while....

Real slow here in minnesota. Water has algee film on the surface and algee swirling in the water. Temps are around 60 but dropping fast. Will be jigging with minnows next weekend. All the fish are running deep right now. 20 ft and hugging the bottom. When water hits 55 the bigguns will be hunting.
