Weed Cutter for OB prop

Can anyone point me to a weed cutting attachment for a small OB that will allow me to motor through a long and nasty patch of lily pads? I understand there was a product by the name of "Weed Shark" but I cannot locate one.

If you fail to find that product, you might try finding another two blade prop (assuming that's what you have now) and either having a prop shop or machine shop (or yourself) sharpen the leading edge to a knife edge. A prop shop could also put a little more rake on the blades. While this would probably alter the WOT performance of the prop, it might help you out in the weeds. If your engine has a three blade prop you might try to find a two blade that would either work or be modified to work. I've also seen "V" or cone shaped affairs that bolt to the lower unit to deflect weeds around the prop. Its been many years ago though.

Thanks for the ideas. The search came up empty...I like the cone or V idea...I may have to do some garage mechanics if I can't find a manufactured item. So....I'm still looking.

You may not find anything in you area, these cutters were designed for commercial fishing boats. To the determent of many, they are misused to cut legal nets. I have seen them in some of the shops around here but not sure they would work for for lilly pads.
