Weathered Rub Rail

Any suggestions for breathing new life in a badly weathered rub rail on my Seadoo?. It is a very faded gray color. I would love it to be black again.

you may have some luck using carb cleaner on a rag and wiping the black carefully , do not get carb cleaner on decals or it will eat them, I found some tire dressing with little metallic flakes in it thet I use after I clean the rails to make them look new again.
