weak pee stream 5 hp yamaha

I picked up a 5mshx yamaha. The pee stream was weak so I opened it up and found the impeller to be new, spinning the right direction,pickup tube inserted proper and a clean pee hole. Then I got to thinking Maybe it's normal so thought I'd check to see if anyone else has a yamy or mariner in 5 horse and can tell me so before I go in again and look for a broken pickup tube or clog. Comes out like big rapid drops rather than your typical stream. Thanks; Mike
