We have been waiting a few weeks for our 1991 310 and it looks like Sunday may be the day. We bought this for a discounted price after we had it surveyed and found out that there was about $18,000 in repairs needed. So this is a list of what has been done in the last few weeks at the repair shop:

Transom repaired, new fiberglass
Both Hearth transmissions reconditioned
new port prop shaft
props rebuilt
new positive water cooled shaft seals
all new exhaust hoses
6 new seacocks W/ new hoses
Onan 4k generator gone through. new plugs, belt, wires, starter, manifold repaired, new paint
strainers cleaned out
new 1240 Promariner battery charger
2 new Trojan L16h house batteries
new shore power recepticle with new cord
new high water alarm
Bottom paint with Trinidad SR

And a few more small things.

We will get this to the marina this weekend and start our portion of the upgrades and fixes:

We found out the fridge does not work on 12v Dc
bilge heaters
I was thinkking of two 38" golden rods for the engine bay. This boat will be moored on the Willamette river In Portland Oregon
The deisel furnace smokes. I tore it down and removed the loose material that was sitting on the burner BUT it still smokes. It does not smell like deisel fuel, I was told it smells "rubbery" but I wasnt there when the shp reinstalled and ran it.

Anyway hello all and I would appreciate ANY input on any thing good or bad about this boat........

Sounds like a great project! Can't wait to see some Pictures!

You might want to start a thread in the restoration Forum of iBoats - there are a lot of threads going on over there, but VERY few of them on a large boat, and everyone seems to enjoy seeing those.

Good luck with everything, and enjoy the journey!

This sounds like it will be a great boat when you are finished. The restoration folks can help for sure.

Well we got yhe boat all the way to Oregon city without any problems EXCEPT the carbon monoxide alarm went off. we opened the front window and everything cleared up. We were cruising about 10 miles an hour and im thinking the exhaust was being sucked into the rear of the boat???? I will go check all the new hoses tomorrow after work. We stopped along the way and anchored and did an engine check and all appeared to be ok.
