Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone has mounted an anchor light to a boat cover when the boat is on the bouy overnight? My boat spends three to four months on the bouy at night with a cover on during the summer, and with the Lake getting busier each year I want to mount an anchor light for the hours of darkness. I'm thinking commercial grade double sided velcro, but would be interested in folks opinion.
Thanks for any help...boat cover is standard type vinyl .

How about on an antenna or railing? seems to me a solar powered light or 2 mounted in on of those spots might do the trick

Normally you attach them to the windshield, they can fold down and they can stick up 6-8" above the navy cover and windshield. They fit between the cover and the windshield..

BTW - On designated moorages, an anchor light is not required.

If your mooring (buoy) is in a high traffic area for night boating, then it is probably worth a light. some solar lights may be able to last all night on a decent charge ( a sunny day). You certainly want the light to be at the highest point of the boat (windshield maybe) to be visible in all directions.

iBoats has some lights that you can consider . . .
