Hi all,
I'm just curious to know if any one out there wax their trailer using car wax? Wondering if it's worth the time and effort.

Re: waxing trailers

Yes, but don't wax anywhere you will step while load/unload. Slipping off that slick trailer will seriously hurt. May seem dumb but spraying trailer with armor all works great and is easy, also takes care of tires. No rust so far on 14 year old trailer.

I'll bet someone does, but not me.

First, my trailer is just a tool to get the boat to and from the water and to store it when it's not in use. I have a hard enough time keeping the boat clean (an occasionally waxed) without worying about the looks of the trailer. ;)

Second, I doubt waxing a galvanized trailer would make much difference anyway!

I hit mine with Bass Boat Saver every once in a while. Very effortless and looks pretty good.

Never waxed the trailer, but definily keep it clean...since it is keeping my boat from riding on the pavement :D

Belchy
