Gotta go to the wilderness again. May 28th to June 8th. 44 miles off the highway on a logging road. The owner built everything. Logger, hunting guide, bush pilot, carpenter, plumber, trapper, jack of all trades AND a master of most.<br /><br />A nice fish camp. Cabins, mobile homes, campsites, a lodge, satellite tv for the weather, and a phone of some sorts. 3 big generators.<br /><br />Northern pike and walleyes, with a few perch thrown in. Moose, bear, lynx, spruce hens(partridge).<br /><br />Dozens of lakes to pick from, or just fish Wawang.<br /><br />Bring what you need because the nearest grocery store is over 2 hours away, and the closest real store is 4.5 hours away.

cotterman, we used to go 200+ miles farther, then boat in for 12 miles. That was in the sticks. Also used to go to Geraldton 38 years ago. And Eagle Lake/Vermillion Bay area. Now we are back in the wilds again, nice and quiet.<br /><br />I try to do that squatting thing before I leave the cabin, usualy just after I check the weather, but before I take my morning shower.<br /><br />2 years ago they were thawing out some turkeys outside the lodge, a lynx came up and sampled every one of them before they saw it. That was one hungry cat, broad daylight, and people in the area.<br /><br />What part of Ontario are you in?

roscoe i'm more in southern ontario, bout 40 minutes east of toronto. have never been that far north. remember looking on a map and seeing nothing but lakes up there, and little marks on the map telling where you could make a phone call from. you know ya gotta be in the sticks then.<br />its gotta be beautiful up there<br />hope you have a great trip up there and try to leave some fish for the next guy eh
