Anyone know if one of these two dinghys will fit in a tacoma long bed with a camper shell? Sticking out the back is fine with the tailgate down but wondering if they fit between the wheel wells :

Got a tape measure? The WallyWorld one is 55" wide.

Ok that works at the top but what about the bottom 6 inches or so. The distance between the wheel wells is about 42" or so so the bottom would have to fit between there...thx

I doubt its that narrow across the bottom. It'd need to taper 6.5" on each side above 6" from the bottom. Doesnt look like its got anywhere near that much taper. Suggest you email Sun Dolphin and ask them the height along the gunwale and the beam across the bottom. Do it tonight, you might get a reply by lunch tomorrow, pick it up on the way home from work and still be headed out w it for the weekend. Be sure to get all the required safety gear. A small tin boat might fit the bill too. Flat bottom squared Jon and SemiVees boats both come in a 10ftr. A 12ftr might fit too. I had a SeaNymph 12ft semiv that was barely 46" at its widest and tapered down from tthe gunwale. A 10-12ft tin boat would also be doable on a roof rack if the camper shell is equiped w a rack or 1 can be added to your shell.

go to walmart and buy it... try to put it in your truck (likely on top of at least one fender)... if it doesn't fit take it back inside and get your money back...... done deal

No Title

For reference this is a 12 ft row boat in a small Dakota short bed that I used to own before my Silverado. It's also secured at the eye hook with some carpet pad between it and the back of the box.
